A protocol established between the Ethos Observatory and the Madre Museum in Naples on interculturality and contemporary art, aimed at developing a virtuous model of collaboration between university and museum. The partnership gave rise to a programme of joint initiatives, including artist residencies, workshops with international artists, seminars, and site-specific installations, exploring interculturality and, more broadly, the relationship between art and ethical and social responsibility.
The first phase of the Art-Etica project (2019–2021) focused on developing a three-year programme on multiculturalism within contemporary artistic experimentation. The project began by examining the gradual shift, over recent decades, of the global centre of artistic research from the heart of the Western world towards regions historically regarded as peripheral, from Africa to the Far East.
